In September of this year, two "Alien Corpses" were submitted to Mexico's Congress by Ufologist Jaime Maussan. According to Maussan, these remains were discovered in a Peruvian mine and are over 1,000 years old (Garrison, 2023). After the bodies were presented, Dr Jose de Jesus Zalce Benitez of the Scientific Institute for Health of the Mexican Navy conducted several tests. These tests included X-rays and CT Scans. According to Dr. Benitez, the results did not indicate that there was any "assembly or manipulation of the skulls (Koenig, 2023)." Dr. Benitez also claimed that the bodies "are not related to what is known or described up to this moment by science or by human knowledge (Garrison, 2023)." To Maussan, this is evidence that "We are not alone in the vast universe, we need to accept this reality (Euronews, 2023)."
However, not everyone is convinced. Julieta Fierro of Mexico's National Autonomous University's Institute of Astronomy also reviewed the DNA results but believes that they "do not show anything mysterious that could indicate life compounds that do not exist on Earth (Garrison, 2023)." Several other critics, like Professor Brian Cox, have demanded verification by an independent lab like 23 and Me. Professor Cox also questioned how similar the "alien corpses" are to humans (Gregory, 2023).
Interestingly, or rather suspiciously, previous "Alien Corpses" presented by Maussan have been identified as human remains (Gregory, 2023). Therefore, it is possible that the new "Alien Corpses" are also human remains that have decomposed or become mummified. This conclusion would align with Dr. Benitez's findings that no manipulation of the corpses has occurred. Based on these criticisms and Maussan's history, it is more likely that he stole and smuggled ancient human remains than found genuine "Alien Corpses."
